Traci Marcum - Club Director, 11-Navy Head Coach
Traci Marcum finished up her first season as Club Director for the Lawrence Juniors Volleyball Club. She has been coaching for 16 years. Traci began coaching right out of college, where she played both volleyball and softball. As a coach, Traci continues to focus primarily on the development of the proper fundamentals of the game.
Toby Ebel - Assistant Club Director, 16-Red Head Coach
Toby is in his fourth year as a head coach and third year as assistant director for Lawrence Juniors. He has been coaching for 20 years starting with local junior high and high school teams. Toby is also in his third year as an assistant coach at Baker University.
Krista Parks - 15-Red Head Coach
Krista Parks is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. After graduating High School she went on to play volleyball at Bradley University. After two years she transferred to Northwest Missouri State University where she finished her volleyball career and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Coaching. Krista then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology. She will add the title of Registered Nurse to her resume in December. Krista has been coaching club volleyball and collegiate volleyball since 2002. She now resides in Lawrence, KS, with her husband and children.
Amy Carlson - 15-Red Assistant Coach
Amy Carlson, a veteran prep volleyball coach and former collegiate player, will begin her fourth year with Lawrence Juniors. With the juniors, Carlson assists with training as well as helping coordinate tournament entries. In addition to coaching club volleyball, Amy has coached 4 years of high school volleyball at Blue Springs and Blue Springs South High School where she founded the BSHS/BSSHS “Dig for the Cure” Match in 2007. Currently, she is also a volunteer coach in the Centerline Youth Volleyball League where her two young daughters, Madilynn and Leighton, are participating this Spring.
Tiffany Russell - 12-Red Head Coach
Tiffany has worked 10 years as head coach at Basehor Linwood Middle school, 1 year as head coach at Eudora Middle School, and is in her 6th season with Lawrence Juniors.
Dani Musselman - 15-Navy Head Coach
Dani Musselman was born and raised in Topeka, KS. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 2012 and lettered in volleyball three years, winning three State Championships, with a 3rd place finish my junior year. Dani started her club career playing for a local club team Topeka Juniors. In middle school she played for the Topeka Elite and ended her club career playing for KC Power. She continued her volleyball career at Washburn University. This is Dani’s second year coaching a club team.
Jeff Hollaway - 15-Red Head Coach
A Retired USAF Master Sargent, played volleyball semi-professionally in the German club system and represented the USAF as an 8 year member of the All Air Force team where he played in the All Armed Forces Championships as well as various International Tournaments. As a Coach, he has led women’s teams to International success and has won a High School Championship in Florida. He Coached for ICT Elite for 5 years while stationed at McConnell AFB, Kansas. During this period, he was able to lead his teams to multiple championships and assist other teams to National Bids.
Jordyne Seichepine - 15-Red Assistant Coach
Grew up in Nortonville, Ks, went to Jefferson County North High School where I was coached by Coach Starr! Advanced to Allen County Community college in Iola, Kansas, where I earned 1st team all conference. Transferred to University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Ks my sophomore year and played till the beginning of my junior year where I had to call it quits due to tearing my rotator cuff. Graduated from USM with a bachelors degree in Biology. Moved to Salt Lake City, Utah for a year and worked as a dental assistant. Now I’m back in Kansas (obviously) working as a dental assistant at Wakarusa Family Dental for Dr. Allen kelley and studying for the DAT’s!
Dave Soderstrom - 12-Navy Head Coach
After graduating with a degree in chemical engineering, Dave got an engineeing job outside of Oskaloosa, KS, where he would also end up coaching freshmen volleyball for two seasons at the high school. This would end up fueling the friendly rivalry with fellow LJVBC coach Starr Patterson, as she grew up in McClouth and coached at Jefferson County North (Oskie’s two main rivals). Dave and Starr would also team up to dominate the volleyball scene in Lawrence for many years, eventually winning the Sunflower State Games volleyball tournament together. Dave is also a volleyball line judge for KU and many other colleges in the area, and continues to play volleyball in the Lawrence area. Dave is currently coaching the 12s Navy team, and hopes to recruit more boys to play volleyball for LJVBC, so that boys over 14 have a place to play.
Starr Patterson - 11-Red Head Coach
Starr played at LHS in 92/93 and got a first and second place at state. The 1992 season we were nationally ranked. She played against Lawrence Jrs back in the late 80s/early 90s. Played at Washburn University and continued to play competitive indoor and outdoor tournaments for 15 years after college. Starr coached high school volleyball at Jeff Co North for six years. She began coaching for Lawrence Juniors last year on a part time basis and loved it so much she decided to coach her own team this year.
